  Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi state A group of civil servants under the aegis of concerned Kogi workers forum, on Sunday, 'June 30, warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) against giving its ticket to the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, ahead of the November governorship election. Nigerian Tribune reports that the forum said foisting the governor on the workers “would amount to further shortening our life span.” Legit.ng gathered that the spokesman of the forum, Hassan Abdul, in a statement made available to newsmen, appealed to the national secretariat of the APC not to elongate the suffering of the people by conceding the ticket to the governor. The workers, who threw their weight behind the governorship bid of a former chief of naval staff, Vice Admiral Jibrin Usman, said “as workers who bear the brunt of Gov. A governorship aspirant and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Bayo Adobanyin Averehi believes Gov. Yahaya Bello has not done enough to merit a second term in office. Despite the harsh criticism of  the planned establishment of Ruga settlements across the country, the Federal Government is set to commence the pilot phase of the project  in Taraba, Adamawa, Plateau, Kaduna and seven other states,  Saturday PUNCH ’s investigations have confirmed.
