KOGI: A BLESSED STATE BUT LACK OF LEADERSHIP.

My state is one of the most popular state in the mid region of Nigeria, sometimes known as heart of the mid-belt or North central. It is a state that was blessed with abundant mineral resources like iron ore, but the percentage of the unemployed youths is almost 95%.

This is a state also known as confluence state because of the meeting of river Niger and river Benue still my people have to go mile to get a bucket of water.

Here is a state where we have talented youths but they hardly survived except few who have their way out or those that support governmental evils that goes on in the state.

How can I describe my state that have many professors that does not know how to fight for the future of the generation yet to be born?



This is a state where every political party will want to win by all means, especially the party in power but no infrastructural development comes to my people after election, does this means our thumb is only what only what they valued?

A state that we can only see the president of the nation only during election campaign, but after election no visible projects will be commission in my state by the president at least that would have make us see home once again.

A state where the youths support the government that seems to be their problems. A state where the government empowered the unsocial and undevelopmental youths but those talented and skillful youths have their brain buried while they were alive.

Sometimes, I feel pissed off when I realize that the mind set of the youths are the problems of my state and hardly can we do something about it.
A state where the government or political leader hardly see any good in the youths of their state except in the involvement of thuggery, this is a state where political thugs will be sent to a holy land where clergies have no idea of what a pilgrim is all about except for how it was described in the scripture.

A state where the masses are in pains but the few who quench their thirsty with the state treasury neither have eyes nor heart to feel the pains or see the tears of the masses.

A state that define religion as the numbers of time and hours spend in the mosque, tabanacle or alter forgotten that the first and the best religion is humanity.
A state where ethnicity and tribal differences have stuck our mind that some of us will support a failed, bleached and a wrecked captain who have the ship of government capsize at the center of the ocean.

A state where the governments are like a canker worm feeding on the future of the masses especially the non previledge.
A state where the the major job is showing 8 fingers like someone who suffer from leprosy but those with awesome certificate can't afford their desirable sahur and iftar.
A state where uneducated youths live a luxery life with expensive cars in a well funished massion but the educated one die and live hard to secure their three square meal.

I just write this article to wish the people of Kogi state especially those that reside in Kogi state a heart to endure the situation of our state, may the lord of all lord comes their aide.
Kogi is blessed but with a bleached leadership.
