PRESS RELEASE
It has come to our notice that the government of Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello and the Chief of Staff Edward Onoja have concluded arrangement to eliminate the Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba.
In their devilish plans from information revealed to us by one of those who attended the meeting convened in government house, that several of their political thugs mostly ex-convicts released on Bello’s order, Onoja’s boy called Hit and Run gangs littered all over the state have been mandated to track, locate and shoot the deputy governor, Elder Simon Achuba in order to save the government of rigours of impeachment knowing fully well that the Judiciary would not embark on such political and ego clash ochestratrad through the rubber stamp Assembly legislatures.
We the Ibaji Equity and Justice Vanguards will like the public to know of dire consequences if anything happens to our son arising from this devilish plans. This release should serve all as a warning.
The IEJV appeal to the federal government to intervene now before it blow into an all ethnic war between the Igalas and Ebiras.
“Gov. Bello is stocking a fire that will eventually consume Kogi State. Our actions will first of all block the Itobe – Ajaokuta bridge and stop all vehicles and lorries from moving.
“Under Yahaya Bello Kogi state has gone through hell and it’s still continue. He has fought the Civil servant, fought the Assembly, fought the judiciary and the Executive Deputy governor now. We believe the next is Presidency.
“We didn’t elect this man, nature foist him on us and we are looking upon that nature to do justice to our people.
“Ibaji nation appeal to Buhari as father of the entire nation to call gov Bello to order and save the state from further degeneration”
Governor Bello should know that the deputy governor’s life is in his hands and anything that happens to him, he and Ebira people would be hold responsible. And at appropriate time, Edward Onoja would receive the wrath of gods of Igala Land.
