Identified! Two Selfish Interests Promoting Okun Support for Bello
Identified! Two Selfish Interests Promoting Okun Support for Bello

In the last two weeks, our polity has witnessed political somersaults as leaders, particularly from Okun speaking part of Kogi West, suddenly changed gear to support Yahaya Bello for a second term in office.
While some of them are not bold enough to make their new political move serious, others said they decided to support Bello so he can hand over the governorship of the state to Okun in 2023.
That sounds interesting! That is the dream of every Okun sons and daughters.
However, majority of the people from Okun land know that this line of thought is not genuine. The smallest kid in Kogi state today will tell you boldly that Yahaya Bello will hand over to Edward Onoja in 2023, if he gets a second term.
A thorough investigation revealed that two Okun sons are behind this political deciet.
Smart Adeyemi and Kolawole Mathew are the ones deceiving some of our leaders.
Smart and Kolawole are doing that for selfish reasons. Smart want to return to senate while Kolawole want to retain his speakership position so he can continue to club and run babes.
Both Smart and Kolawole know the truth about Bello and Onoja. Though members of same APC, Smart and Kolawole know they are both powerless in the system.
Onoja recently resigned his appointment as Chief of Staff to Bello. Before now, the propaganda is that Bello is detribalized because he appointed an Igala as his Chief of Staff. When he replaced Onoja, why didn't he chose another Igala, or better still, an Okun as Chief of Staff?
Bello chose his kinsman as Onoja's replacement. EBIGO was not considered. The new Chief of Staff, Jamiu Asuku was DG Protocol before his elevation. So, Bello could not consider one of Smart Adeyemi, James Faleke or Kolawole's nominee for the position? Rather, he appointed Onoja's nominee, Gabriel Ottah!
If others are blind to the reality in Bello's government, we the good people Kogi West are not! The government and administration has always been and will continue to be about Bello and Onoja!
The dummy Smart and Kolawole are trying to sell to us will not fly. We know their true intentions; personal positions at the detriment of our civil servants/pensioners, at the detriment of our dilapidated infrastructure, at the detriment of our collective desire for good governance!
If Bello gets a second term, Onoja will take over and hang on to power for eight years before an Okun can think of getting a taste of governorship. With Bello, Okuns will have to wait for another twelve years before agitating for power.
With Musa Wada, we have a strong chance to relaunch ourselves in 2023. Wada is in opposition party so we Okuns can push our sons in the ruling party to take over the party after Bello's and come out BIG in 2023. This is our shortest route.
In the event that Wada perform extraordinarily well and gets a second term, we have eight years to plan and strategize.
We are in a precarious situation but definately, eight is better than twelve.
