SUCCESSFUL FLAG-OFF OF CAMPAIGNS: KOGI PDP CAMPAIGN DG THANKS ALL.
‘THERE ARE INCONTROVERTIBLE SIGNS OF COMING VICTORY AS APC IMITATES WITH FALSE MOVES’
This weekend, the people from the 21 local government areas across Kogi state gave Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a rousing indication of coming victory in the November 16 polls, with enthusiastic support of our campaign flag-off at the Confluence stadium in Lokoja.
We thank all our grassroots activists, party leaders at ward, local, state and national levels for the success of the flag-off of our campaign towards putting Engineer Musa Wada and Hon Sam Aro in Lugard House and re-electing Senator Dino Melaye as Senator for Kogi West Senatorial District.
While we thank all discerning citizens across Nigeria who have unreservedly expressed support for ending the nightmarish transgressions against democracy, lack of infrastructural development, impoverishment of civil servants and the rudderless ineptitude which has drawn Kogi state backwards; we emphatically thank PDP leaders whose collective support facilitated the success of our flag-off event on Saturday.
We wish to express appreciation to National Chairman of our party, Chief Uche Secondus who also presented the Kogi governorship standard-bearer, Engineer Musa Wada and his running mate, Hon. Sam Aro to party supporters, at the Lokoja Conference Stadium as the best option towards ensuring prompt payment of salaries as well as improved standard of living.
He also presented Senator Dino Melaye, whom he described as a voice that cannot be silenced, as the peoples’ choice for re-election as Senator for Kogi West Senatorial district.
The Kogi State PDP Gubernatorial Campaign Council also wishes to express appreciation to all the PDP governors; we thank the Governor of Bayelsa state and Chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum, HE Governor Seriake Dickson, the Governor of Oyo State, HE Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Bauchi stae, HE Senator Bala Mohammed, Governor of Sokoto State, Rt. Hon Aminu Tambuwal and the Governor of Taraba state, Architect Darius Ishaku.
We also thank the Deputy Governors of Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Taraba and Benue states as well as other eminent party leaders including Sen. Ibrahim Tsauri, Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd), Alh. Mai Adamu Mustapha, Hajia Maryam Waziri, Hon. Adewale Aribisala, Senator Ibrahim Mantu, Ambassador Ibrahim Kazaure, Chief Barr. G. T. Kataps, Hon. Sani Kutigi and Earl Osaro Onaiwu, the DG of PDP Governors’ Forum.
Our party leaders in Kogi state, including members of the state exco, our Campaign Organization, our National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, party elders and all the citizens of Kogi state whose enthusiastic support for PDP will make the difference deserve our praise.
In the face of all manifestations of desperation by Kogi APC, the PDP is increasingly certain of success in the November 16 polls and for this, we sincerely thank all our party leaders, grassroots activists and the entire citizenry of Kogi state whose determination to sweep out the outgoing governor and his grossly insensitive leadership only assures of a coming victory celebration for PDP in Kogi state.
The Kogi state APC has immediately tried to imitate us but with their usual trademarks of deceit and falsehood. In the history of Kogi state, no governor ever presented a Greek gift in the form of a used Rolls Royce car to a paramount traditional ruler in whose domain the roads have been neglected for four years. They further advertised their failure by ‘commissioning’ hurriedly renovated structures at the School of Health Technology in Idah and naming it after the governor’s wife and his running mate.
The people see through all the deprivations and failure in Kogi state and we are fully assured that there are incontrovertible signs of coming victory, even as Kogi APC imitates us, using its usual deceit and false moves.
Hon Tajudeen Yusuf, Member Representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency
AND
Director-General, Gubernatorial Campaign Office of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kogi State.
