YYSA TO FG: DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY ON OUR ROADS, THEY ARE NOW TRAP FOR CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES NATION WIDE*
*YYSA TO FG: DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY ON OUR ROADS, THEY ARE NOW TRAP FOR CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES NATION WIDE*
...fix our roads and stop playing to the gallery, reply fashola
...fashola has lost touch with the masses
It's evident that the Minister for Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola,SAN as lost touch with the masses and what an average Nigerian passed through on daily basis plying our roads for their lawful activities.
The statement that Nigerian roads were not that bad as often portrayed said by him was totally false and misleading.
YYSA demand retraction of the statement and apology to the Nigerian citizens hence call on Federal Government to ban all Government functionaries most especially Mr Babatunde Fashola from using airlifts to locations within Nigerian which road network can reach, that will surely make him feel what average Nigerian feels daily.
As terrible as our roads are, it has been aiding banditry and kidnapping as those who involves in those crimes take cover around bush on the highways at an impassable spots to unleash attack on innocent people.
State of emergency should be declare on our roads such as Lagos/Abeokuta Road which now takes up 2 - 3hrs as against 45mns drive before; Sango-Agbado to Berger Road; Oyo -Iseyin road, Oyo State; Biu to Gombe road that took one-and -a -half hours in the past now takes close to 4hrs; Makurdi - Gboko -Katsina Alla -Zaki Biam Road, which links Benue State to Taraba State and the 110 - kilometre-Gusau -Dansadau Road in Zamfara State etc
