The boy behind the crying meme that has been trending on social media finally speaking on what happened the day the photo was taken.


He said, it all happened when he was with his grandmother in the village, where his friend parsuaded him to play dice with the money his grandmother sent him to used and bought garri.



I was crying when I lost the money my mother gave me to bought garri from the market, so I started crying and later thought of increasing the rate of my crying to attracted the attention of people hoping to see someone who will help me, the boy narrated.

Knowing that the punishment for what he has done is starving to for two whole days is what triggered his crying in other to seek the attention of the good Samaritans who will help him, what baffle him is how the photo was taken and made viral, the boy explained.

The Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, on Monday, ended the prejudgment proceeding on the consolidated petition by Natasha Akpoti of SDP and Ahmed Ogembe of PDP against Yakubu Oseni of APC. While defending his petition, the Counsel to Natasha Akpoti of SDP, Ayo Asala (SAN), adopted his final written address and the arguments therein. Asala (SAN) argued that the Counsel to the second and third Respondents (APC & Oseni) went against the judgment of the Appeal Court when they sought the relief of the Tribunal to dismiss Natasha Akpoti's petition for what they termed incompetency of the witnesses that presented the evidence gathered in the course of inspecting INEC materials used for the 2019 Kogi Central senatorial election.
